Kajju is a very beautiful dog, that was surrendered to us by an owner who loved her. It is challenging in Nunavut for female doggies, as there are such limited vet services, and so difficult to keep dogs from having puppies. Out of care and consideration for Kajju, she was surrendered to our care so that her current pregnancy could be her last. She arrived in Vancouver on 11 November 2025, and had 11 puppies (8 female, 3 male) over a 13 hour period from the 28th to the 29th of November. She was supported by our incredible whelper Shannon Johnston who had many sleepless nights as she awaited labour.

Once Kajju has weened her puppies, we will be looking for a foster home for her and then we will plan for her adoption.
