From Rescue to Forever
A Second Chance at Forever
Every rescue dog has a story — and every story deserves a happy ending. ❤️
Our Success Stories celebrate the dogs who have found their forever families after everything they’ve been through. From northern communities to foster homes across BC, these dogs were given a second chance at love, safety, and belonging.
Some arrived scared. Some were neglected. Some needed medical care, patience, training, or simply someone to believe in them. But with the support of their fosters, adopters, volunteers, and community, they found their way home.
These are the stories that remind us why we rescue. The happy endings, the second chances, and the forever homes that make it all worthwhile. 🐾❄️
Myla’s story begins with a simple post that one of our frontline workers happened to see: “Free dog outside.”
She drove by to see what was happening and found Myla outside, severely matted and in desperate need of care. After speaking with her owner, the owner surrendered Myla to Snow Dog Society. We were told that the reason for surrender was simply that they no longer had the time to care for her.
When Myla arrived in rescue, she was completely matted. But beneath all of that was a beautiful, loving dog waiting for someone to give her a chance.
With the dedication of her foster family, Myla spent three days being carefully brushed and went through multiple rounds of grooming. Slowly, the dog underneath all those mats began to emerge.
And what a transformation it was. ❤️
But Myla’s transformation went far beyond her appearance.
She has an absolutely amazing temperament and has completely embraced her new life. Today, Myla is living the kind of life every rescue dog deserves.
She swims.
She camps.
She explores.
She goes to work with her mom.
She helps her dad at trade shows.
And everywhere she goes, she proudly represents Snow Dog Society as one of our little rescue mascots. 🐾
Myla went from being a dog who was simply left outside because her family no longer had time for her, to a beloved member of a family who takes her along for the ride and lets her experience everything life has to offer.
She is living her best life in BC—and we couldn't be happier for her.
Myla didn't just find a new home.
She found a life worth living. ❤️

Myla’s Testimonial
Hi, it’s Myla! 🐾
I came into rescue severely matted and in need of someone to give me a chance. My foster family patiently groomed me, cared for me, and helped me discover the happy girl underneath it all.
Now I’m living my best life in BC! I go swimming, camping and exploring, go to work with my mom, help my dad at trade shows, and even get to be a Snow Dog mascot.
I went from being a dog no one had time for to a dog who gets to go everywhere and be part of everything.
I’m loved, I’m happy, and I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. ❤️
Love,
Myla 🐾
