Adoption Profile
Background
Ava is a young mama who has already overcome more than most dogs experience in a lifetime. At just around a year old, she has safely raised a litter of nine beautiful puppies and is now discovering what it means to be a cherished member of a family.
For most of her first year, Ava lived as an outdoor community dog with very little experience of life inside a home. Since entering foster care, she has embraced the comforts of indoor living, learning that soft beds, regular meals, and loving people can all be part of everyday life.
More recently, Ava's sister, Gizmo, and her brother, B2, were also rescued from the same community. Together, they are the last remaining dogs from their original pack. Leaving behind the only life they had ever known has been a significant adjustment, but all three are beginning to learn what safety, stability, and unconditional love feel like for the very first time.
Ava's journey has been one of resilience, and with each passing day she grows more confident, trusting, and ready for the forever family she truly deserves.
Description
Ava is a sweet, gentle young husky who is enjoying life as an indoor dog. She is a bit shy when first meeting new people but warms up over time.
True to her husky nature, she loves to dig, is a strong chewer, and occasionally lets out a little howl. Toys and household items are still new to her, so she’s figuring out what belongs to her (she especially loves leather or fur textures). She’s very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Ava is a tender, resilient girl who thrives with patience, routine, and gentle guidance.
