Willow
Background
Willow and her 10 puppies were part of a large rescue transport operation with Boreal Animal Rescue after being rescued from Grandmother Lake, Saskatchewan. While little is known about Willow's life before rescue, it was clear she had endured a great deal. She and her puppies arrived in care severely malnourished and emaciated, all in need of time, nourishment, and love.
Thanks to the dedication of many volunteers and foster homes, Willow and her family safely made their way to their foster in Cochrane, who lovingly cared for them through those critical first weeks. Under her care, Willow and her puppies regained their strength, reached healthy weights, and began the next chapter of their lives.
After selflessly raising her litter and watching each of her puppies grow, Willow is finally ready for a forever home of her own—one where she can leave her past behind and enjoy all the love, comfort, and care she has always deserved.
Description
Willow is a happy, playful, and affectionate girl with a wonderful balance of energy and cuddles. She loves a good game of fetch and is just as happy carrying a stuffed toy around between throws. She greets her people with a wagging tail every time they come home and quickly makes herself comfortable wherever she goes.
While she may whine briefly when left alone, she settles quickly and waits patiently for her family to return. Willow loves to play with other dogs and can get vocal when she's having fun, but she's generally well behaved. She appreciates slow introductions to new dogs and separate feeding, helping everyone start off on the right paw.
She is incredibly gentle with children and has been wonderful with her foster family's four-year-old daughter. Confident, loving, and eager to be part of the family, Willow is ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles to her forever home.
