Background
Sasha was surrendered when her owner made the difficult decision that he could no longer provide the care she and her four puppies needed.

Description

Sasha is a beautiful girl with an outgoing, goofy personality that's guaranteed to make you smile. She's full of character, loves to make people laugh with her dramatic expressions, and has a playful, affectionate nature.

She is an active girl who needs plenty of daily exercise and mental enrichment. Whether she's running at the beach, playing at the dog park, or learning something new, Sasha is happiest when she's on the go. She has excellent dog social skills and hasn't met a dog she doesn't want to be friends with.

True to her breeds, Sasha is incredibly intelligent and eager to learn. She already knows an impressive list of commands and would excel in activities like agility, dock diving, rally, or other dog sports. Despite her energetic side, she's also a huge cuddle bug who loves curling up beside her people on the couch or in bed after a fun day.

🐾 Dog Friendly
Very dog friendly. Sasha loves meeting and playing with other dogs and has excellent canine social skills.

🐱 Cat Friendly / Prey Drive
Cat friendly with proper introductions. She understands that cats may not want to play, although she occasionally tries to encourage them. She has learned not to chase and will need guidance around new household cats.

She has a mild prey drive that's mostly related to enjoying the excitement of running and chasing, but she has never shown interest in catching wildlife.

👧 Kid Friendly
Yes! Sasha enjoys attention, belly rubs, and affection, and happily returns the love with kisses and gentle nose bumps.

🦮 Leash Skills
Leash training is still a work in progress. Sasha is improving every day but can become excited when heading somewhere fun like the beach or dog park. She responds well to consistent training.

Yes, Sasha is house trained.

🍖 Food & Training
Sasha is highly food motivated, making her a joy to train. She currently eats a quality limited-ingredient diet while potential food allergies are being investigated.

She already knows sit, down, stay, wait, leave it, come, up, down, release ("alright"), and can follow a point. With her intelligence and eagerness to learn, she has enormous potential.

🚗 Vehicle Behaviour
Sasha travels very well in the car. A seat belt or vehicle restraint is recommended, as she enjoys watching everything going on outside and likes the best view.

🐾 Other Behaviours to Note
Sasha forms strong bonds with her people and loves to cuddle after exercise. She may be vocal at times, especially while settling into a new environment, but once she feels secure and learns the household routine, she relaxes beautifully.

Her veterinarian is monitoring possible food allergies and mild eye irritation, both of which are being addressed but otherwise she is a very healthy girl.
