Background
Rickie is affectionate, playful, and kind — a true gentleman with the joyful spirit of a puppy. He came from an unimaginably difficult start, facing severe starvation and the loss of many of his siblings.

Despite it all, Rickie has defied every odd and expectation. Today, he is both protector and sweetheart, with a rare sense of loyalty, intuition, and devotion that is truly special to witness.

Rickie is a gentle, affectionate boy who thrives on connection. He’s known for his big standing hugs and will happily jump into a game of tug-of-war when the mood strikes. His foster lovingly calls him a “literal sponge” — he soaks up training, learns boundaries quickly, and charms everyone he meets.

Rickie would do best with a moderate to experienced owner who can confidently guide his strength and continue nurturing his big-hearted nature.

Rickie is a loving, observant boy who may need a little time to adjust in a new home, but once he settles in, his personality truly shines. He quickly learns routines and naturally adapts to his environment.

He enjoys exploring — especially open spaces like lakes or beaches — but stays connected and checks in often. When it’s time to go, he’s right by your side.

He plays appropriately with his toys and does not get into household items. Rickie forms a strong bond with his person and may follow you around, but he is respectful and settles well independently.
