Adoption Profile โ€“ Reggie

Background
Reggie is a 2-year-old Corgi mix currently located in Edmonton, Alberta. He is an indoor dog who is house trained and is looking for a fresh start through no fault of his own.

Description
Reggie is a friendly, social boy who enjoys the company of both people and other animals. He has lived as an indoor companion and is ready to thrive in a home that can provide him with consistency, training, and clear boundaries. Like many dogs, he can be protective of high-value treats or chews, so continued positive reinforcement and management around resources will help him succeed.

๐Ÿพ Dog Friendly
Yes. Reggie gets along well with other dogs. He can show some resource guarding around certain treats or items, so supervised introductions and feeding separately from other dogs are recommended.

๐Ÿฑ Cat Friendly / Prey Drive
Cat friendly. No known prey drive.

๐Ÿ‘ง Kid Friendly
Reggie has lived around children. However, he has previously nipped a 4-year-old child. Because of this, he would be best suited to a home with respectful older children (12+) or an adult-only home while his training continues.

๐Ÿฆฎ Leash Skills
No information available at this time.

๐Ÿšป House Trained
Yes.

๐Ÿ– Food & Training
Reggie would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training, particularly around resource guarding. He is looking for a family committed to helping him build confidence and appropriate sharing behaviours.

๐Ÿš— Vehicle Behaviour
No information available at this time.

๐Ÿพ Other Behaviours to Note

  • Indoor dog.

  • Awaiting appointment with vet for vaccines and neuter

  • Would thrive with an owner who understands canine body language and can continue working on his resource guarding in a positive, structured environment.
