Background

Kajju came into our care from the community of Kugluktuk, Nunavut. She was known as one of the community's friendly wanderers and naturally found herself a pack of people who cared deeply for her. After an incident involving a local toy breed, it became clear that Kajju would be safest starting a new chapter outside of the community.

Kajju is now looking for a forever family where her loyalty, intelligence, and loving personality can truly shine.

Description

Kajju is a fun-loving, incredibly loyal, and goofy girl with a heart of gold. She forms strong bonds with her people and thrives when she's part of the family. Highly intelligent and eager to please, Kajju responds exceptionally well to verbal cues and has an impressive understanding of commands.

She loves spending time with her people, whether that's heading out on an adventure, relaxing at home, or simply being wherever her pack is. Kajju has a playful personality and is always ready to make you smile with her silly antics.

🐾 Dog Friendly

Yes!

Kajju enjoys the company of other dogs and does well making canine friends. She does best with proper introductions, particularly when meeting small dogs, as she can be a little enthusiastic at first.

🐱 Cat Friendly / Prey Drive

Kajju has lived successfully around cats. While she may chase them occasionally, her intentions are playful rather than aggressive and she responds well to guidance.

She does have prey drive toward small wildlife, so squirrels, rabbits, and other small woodland critters are best admired from a distance.

Kajju adores children and is gentle, affectionate, and happy to be included in family life. She would make a wonderful companion for an active family with respectful kids.

🦮 Leash Skills

Kajju has excellent leash manners and is a pleasure to walk. She listens well to her handler and enjoys getting out to explore with her people.

🚻 House Trained

Yes!

Kajju has been completely house trained in foster care and has had zero accidents in the home.

🍖 Food & Training

Kajju isn't picky about food and happily eats a variety of diets.

Training is one of Kajju's greatest strengths. She already knows a variety of commands, is clicker and whistle trained, and patiently waits for permission before eating her meals. She is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and truly enjoys working alongside her people.

🚗 Vehicle Behaviour

Kajju loves car rides and travels exceptionally well, making her an easy companion for road trips, adventures, and everyday errands.

🐾 Other Behaviours to Note

Kajju is the definition of a loyal companion. Once you're part of her pack, she'll happily do just about anything to make you proud. Her intelligence, affectionate nature, and desire to work with her people make her an incredible partner for an active family looking for a devoted best friend.
