Background

Indigo, her mom Nila, and her four siblings were rescued from the streets of Saskatchewan by an incredible group of volunteers. After being brought to safety, they were transported to Edmonton and welcomed into our care, where Indigo has been thriving ever since.

Description

Indigo is a sweet, gentle, and well-balanced puppy with a calm, affectionate nature. She approaches the world with curiosity and quiet confidence, taking new experiences in stride without being overly timid or overwhelming.

She has a wonderful balance of playful puppy energy and the ability to settle and relax. Whether she's exploring outdoors, playing with her toys, or curling up for a cozy nap, Indigo is simply happy to be by her people. She is respectful with other dogs, eager to learn, and has an easygoing personality that makes her a joy to have around.

With her gentle soul, loving heart, and adaptable nature, Indigo is sure to grow into a loyal and devoted family companion.

🐾 Dog Friendly

Yes - she plays beautifully with other dogs, especially larger dogs. She understands appropriate play, reads social cues well, and knows when to be playful and when to be respectful.

🐱 Cat Friendly / Prey Drive

Cat compatibility unknown.

She has not shown any prey drive. She is curious about birds but has not attempted to chase them.

👧 Kid Friendly

Yes - has been gentle and appropriate with children she's met so far.

🦮 Leash Skills

She is just beginning to learn leash skills and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement as she grows.

🚻 House Trained

In Progress - making fantastic progress with house training. She will often take herself outside when the door is open but still has occasional accidents, which is expected for her age.

Indigo is not a picky eater.

She is highly food-motivated and eager to learn. She is already working on:

She learns quickly and loves positive reinforcement.

🚗 Vehicle Behaviour

Excellent traveler - calm and relaxed in the car and will often settle in for a nap during rides.

• Loves toys and chew items.

• Big fan of cozy beds and cuddle time.

• Curious and confident when exploring new places.

• Has shown excellent house manners and has not been destructive indoors.

• Has a wonderful, balanced energy level—she enjoys playing but is equally happy to relax afterward.

Indigo is an incredibly sweet, adaptable puppy who is off to a fantastic start. She's looking for a family committed to continuing her training, socialization, and adventures as she grows into the amazing dog she's destined to become.
