Background

David, his five siblings, and their mom, Lilo, were surrendered into our care when the puppies were young. The family was placed with a wonderful foster who provided exceptional care during the early weeks as the puppies continued to grow.

Once they were old enough to travel, Lilo and her six puppies flew to British Columbia, where another incredible foster family welcomed them into their home. There, they continued to receive the love, care, and socialization they needed until the puppies were old enough to move into their individual foster homes and begin preparing for adoption.

Description
David is an approximately 10-week-old Staffy/Bully/Shepherd mix (DOB: April 14, 2026) with a sweet, gentle, and thoughtful personality. He likes to observe the world before jumping in, but once he feels comfortable, his playful side shines through with zoomies, squeaky chicken toys, and following his foster sister on adventures.

David is a smart, eager-to-learn puppy who is already making wonderful progress. He sleeps and naps happily in his crate and has learned sit, down, stay, and come over short distances. He is very treat motivated and enjoys learning new things.

Like many young puppies, David can be a little shy around new people, unfamiliar noises, and the barking of larger dogs. With patience, encouragement, and positive experiences, he continues to build confidence every day.

David is doing well with potty training. He already asks to go outside when he needs to poop and is learning that pee belongs outside too. A consistent routine and paying attention to his signals help set him up for success.

David is looking for a loving family that will continue his training, help him gain confidence, and enjoy watching him grow into an incredible lifelong companion.

Yes! David enjoys the company of other dogs and benefits from having a confident canine companion to learn from.

Cat compatibility is currently unknown. He has not shown any prey drive.

Yes! David is very friendly with children and enjoys their company.

🦮 Leash Skills
David is currently learning leash manners. Like any young puppy, he is still building confidence and learning how to walk politely on leash.

🚻 House Trained
David is making excellent progress with potty training. He reliably asks to go outside for bowel movements and is continuing to learn that all bathroom breaks happen outdoors.

🍖 Food & Training
David is very food motivated and loves to learn. He is crate trained, knows sit, down, stay, and come over short distances, and is eager to continue training. He is learning to wait calmly while other dogs are fed and has not shown concerning resource guarding behaviors.

🚗 Vehicle Behaviour
David travels well in a crate. He may fuss briefly at the start of the ride but settles quickly and rides comfortably.

🐾 Other Behaviours to Note
David is a wonderful puppy who will thrive with the patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement every young puppy needs. As expected for his age, he is still going through normal puppy teething and mouthy stages and will benefit from continued training, enrichment, and appropriate chew toys.
