Adoption Profile
Background
Boris came into our care with a cloudy appearance to one of his eyes. His foster noticed the change shortly after intake, and he was examined by a veterinarian several times. When there was no improvement, Boris was referred to a veterinary specialist for further testing. It was determined that Boris is completely blind in that eye. Despite this, Boris is otherwise healthy, happy, and doing well. His eye may require removal at some point in the future, but for now he is being monitored.
Description
Boris is a sweet, lovable puppy who isn’t letting his vision impairment slow him down. He is otherwise a healthy and happy boy who enjoys being around his people and experiencing everything puppyhood has to offer. His blindness in one eye does not define him, and with a little understanding and patience, Boris is expected to live a full and happy life.

🐾 Other Behaviours to Note
Boris is completely blind in one eye, but this does not appear to slow him down or affect his quality of life. His eye will continue to be monitored, and it may require surgical removal in the future. His adopters should be prepared for ongoing veterinary follow-up and understand that additional medical care may be recommended as he grows.
