Background

Asher was picked up as a stray and is now settling into home life with impressive ease. Though his past is unknown, he has shown himself to be gentle, calm, and eager to bond with his people. He is quickly learning routines and discovering the comforts of indoor living.

Description

Asher is a gentle, easygoing boy with a naturally calm and affectionate personality. Indoors, he loves to sleep, relax, and stay close to his humans, occasionally offering some classic husky back-talk just to keep things interesting. He has shown zero aggression toward kids or other dogs, making him a safe and lovely companion.

He gets along well with the resident dogs—submissive, polite, and playful in a balanced way without being overly energetic. He enjoys time outdoors and can happily lie in the sun or snow for hours.

Asher is still learning some household manners. He’s figuring out that counter-surfing isn’t allowed, and he will sometimes paw at an empty bowl hoping for food (but only gets water unless it’s mealtime). His biggest challenge is door-darting; if the door opens, he tries to slip out for a run. While he stays nearby, it turns into a chase to bring him back. Encouragingly, he is already showing improvement—today he returned up the stairs on his own for the first time.

He is house trained, had only a few initial accidents, and now reliably sleeps through the night (11pm–7am). With structure, routine, and a secure home environment, Asher will continue to flourish into an even more confident, well-rounded companion.
